Meet Nikki
At seven-years-old, Nikki DeMentri fell in love with the world of journalism and quickly became a newsie, often parking herself in the living room to watch news whenever she could. Through her training in classical ballet, she worked on her craft of storytelling via the stage. Now the Emmy Award winning journalist is excited she's home and sharing stories from the community where she grew up through her reporting with CBS News Philadelphia.
Fast-forward a few years, and she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, N.Y.
She started her career as an MMJ/reporter and fill-in anchor with WKBW-TV in Buffalo, N.Y. In 2020, she moved to Indianapolis to work as an MMJ/reporter and fill-in anchor with WRTV.
Outside of the newsroom, Nikki loves to travel and spend time with her rescue, pandemic puppy. She is a proud New Jersey native and die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
